I am a graphic designer with 30 years of experience. My background in advertising includes extensive experience designing and producing any type of print advertising material. I have produced catalogs, ads, mailers and magazines for promotional products, realtors, music retailers, automotive chains, do-it-yourself building supplies, and office supplies, and I have worked in print shops, advertising agencies, and in-house corporate advertising departments. My previous positions have taught me to deal with heavy production schedules while multi-tasking in order to get jobs done on tight deadlines.

In my most recent position at Bullet Line LLC, I was art director, responsible for all advertising goals. I personally designed and supervised production of all catalogs, ads and promotional materials for this top 25 supplier with sales over $70 million annually. I set up an in house photography studio to reduce catalog production costs and also established email campaigns that reached over 50,000 customers bi-monthly, a previously untapped sales tool.

A subsudiary of Polyconcept North America, the global leader in the promotional products industry, with overseas offices in China and supplying 9000 distributors worldwide. Rated a top 25 supplier by Advertising Specialty Institute, with sales over $70 million annually.
Catalog Art Director:
Duties included scheduling, coordinating and producing annual catalogs, brochures, ads, Flyers, display graphics, E-blast campaigns and web graphics. Created an in-house photography studio where I supervised and directed new product photography with freelance photographers, performed styling, color correcting, clean up and silhouetting of all digital images. I also personally originated and implemented successful in-house E-blast campaigns. Accountable for all advertising layouts, deadlines, press checks, ad specs. Established a clean promotional look to emphasize the product and maintain a company image as a fore runner in the industry. 2004-2009

52-store musical instrument sales retail chain with an in-house advertising/marketing department producing monthly catalogs, ROPs, signage and special promotions.
Senior Art Director:
Complete control of design, layout and supervision producing 56-page full color monthly catalogs. Consistently produced a large volume of catalog pages and ads with limited staff on tight turn around deadlines. Built pages and set up templates on Macintosh, sketched rough layouts for direction of outside suppliers to build pages from. Dealt directly with all outside suppliers and vendors. Collaborated with buyers from 4 departments to determine design features and develop the individual look each department envisioned. 1997-2002

Art Director/Pre Press Manager:
Supervising and producing all pre press and graphic projects in-house. Duties besides producing work from original design through final production include checking customer supplied files for proper trap, size and printability and running to film. Also responsible for proofing bluelines, color keys and match prints, press checks and dealings with all outside suppliers. No excuse, heavy production, tight deadline atmosphere. 1992-1997

Designed and produced print ads for newspaper and magazines, brochures, sales center displays, billboards, logo designs, TV story boards and prop designs. Involved in total creative process of all jobs from original concept and design through layout and production. Solely responsible for meeting all deadlines and scheduling of jobs. Newsprint manager:
Do-it-yourself retail home builder supplies. Directed all R.O.P. and newsprint media. Hands-on problem-solving with control over design, layout and content of all R.O.P. ads for in-house and outside agencies. Coordinated production with outside vendors (printers, type house, etc.). 1983-1987
